“A Touch of Fashion” workshop, organized by PFR, aims to introduce the fashion industry from the inside, the macro-areas, dynamics and logics that characterize it, in order to get a complete view of how this industry works, get up to date and properly direct one’s personal and professional path THANKS TO FASHION PROFESSIONALS AND SPECIAL GUESTS who share their knowledge on the main phases and processes of the fashion system:

The workshop is arranged with a MASTERCLASS, an EXPERIENCE in a fashion company and a part dedicated to APPROACHING THE WORK WORLD IN THE FASHION SYSTEM.

I participated in this 'mini' fashion course in October (we can call it that for all intents and purposes) because despite the fact that it lasted only three days, it was such an immersive experience that it trained me in all aspects and sections within the fashion world.
Participating in the 'A Touch of Fashion' workshop was a unique experience for me because I was able to open my eyes to many aspects that make up the fashion industry, confronting me not only with professionals willing to pass on their experience and knowledge.

HEAD OF BRAND AND CREATIVE MARKETING AND PRODUCTION - CONDÉ NAST COMMERCIAL CREATIVE
Graduated in Economics and Business Management at the Università Cattolica di Milano, after a brief experience at Morellato Group, she started her career in 2013 at Condé Nast, within the marketing team of Vogue Italia.
For the last 11 years, Annalisa has been in charge of the conception and coordination of projects, productions and events, both national and international, involving all Condé Nast brands or in white label mode.
CEO AND FOUNDER OF AFRO FASHION ASSOCIATION AND THE BLACK CARPET AWARDS
Michelle Ngonmo founded Afro Fashion in 2015, a cultural association that now has over 80 members and a database with over 1,000 Afro designers.
Michelle is a talent scout for creatives, both in Italy and abroad, and also founder of Afro Fashion Week Milan, which she has been presenting and leading for 7 years. She has also won numerous awards including the Bulgari Aurora Award in the activism category and was among the Vogue Business 100 Innovators (as of December 2022).
HEAD OF PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Maria Cristina De Vita is the professional with whom we are going to tackle the WONDERFUL APPROACH TO THE WORKING WORLD IN FASHION, to date Maria Cristina is Head of People Management at Catollica University and previously worked for 10 years as Head of HR corporate at VALENTINO.
OWNER OF LOVE THERAPY
Floria Fiorucci has always worked alongside her brother Elio Fiorucci assisting him in the launch of the first FIORUCCI DEPARTMENT STORE in 1967 in Galleria Passerella. He witnessed the changes in fashion in Italy from the 1970s to the 1990s and worked alongside Elio, participating passionately in the creative processes. In 2003, the Love Therapy brand was born, which still today with Floria offers colourful collections and expresses messages of love and kindness.
HEAD OF STYLE OFFICE - LOVE THERAPY
The daughter of Floria Fiorucci, who has always been passionate about fashion & design, she has worked within the Love Therapy company taking care of all processes, from the management of a shop to the creation and development of clothing collections and lifestyle products. Today, thanks to her valuable know-how, she coordinates Love Therapy’s style office and brand-related licences. Love Therapy branded products are distributed throughout Italy and in 33 countries worldwide.
SCUOLA DI MODA
Accademia del Lusso is the fashion school that deals with high education in an innovative and creative way. Since 2005 it has been the meeting place between the needs of the labour market – in search of increasingly specific professional profiles – and the aspirations of those who intend to pursue a career in the system of the great fashion, luxury and high-end brands.
The objective of Accademia del Lusso is to train the main professional profiles in the sector, from fashion to marketing, from brand management to fashion design and fashion communication, while maintaining constant contact with the business world. In order to guarantee students a state-of-the-art preparation, the institute constantly renews and updates its training offer.
1. MASTERCLASS: THE PROFESSIONALS AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Industry professionals will concretely explain to you some of the main phases of the fashion industry, to give you a clear and comprehensive view of the fashion world and how it works. They will also explain what their work consists of by linking it to the theoretical part.
DESIGN & TREND RESEARCH
Alan della Noce
You will learn the role of the designer, the design process, trend research, moodboard and concept generation, concept examples (from sketch to fashion show).
The teacher is Alan della Noce, Fashion and Accessories designer at Piaggio, and previously Fashion and Accessories designer at Dolce&Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna and Gianfranco Ferré.
Lecturer at the School of Design Politecnico di Milano.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Christine Dumolard
You will understand the processes and production times involved in developing a collection of accessories. You will learn all the steps that lead to the creation of a collection.
The teacher isChristine Dumolard, Product Development Manager at AMA. She was in charge of product development, budgeting, collection planning and production from Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton.
MERCHANDISING & BUYING
Stefano Sacchi
You will learn the role of the merchandiser and buyer, how to create a collection (patterns, articles, sku), deliveries, pricing and mark up. You will also learn the difference between showroom, buying office and distributor.
The teacher is Stefano Sacchi – marketing and merchandising consultant. Stefano is a teacher, fashion writer and former CEO of the Giuliano Fujiwara brand. He is also a member of Camera Moda Italia.
STYLING
Piermattia Aiello
You will understand the role of the stylist, the different areas of styling, the professionals involved and how Fashion Editorials work.
The teacher is Piermattia Aiello, Fashion Stylist & Consultant for Fashion Editorials and Celebrity Stylist for artists on the Italian and international music circuit. Co-founder of NoCarbStudio, a creative studio focusing on creative consultancy, styling and art direction. He also teaches at the Accademia Del Lusso.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION
Sergio Pitrone
You will learn the secrets of FDC Fashion Digital Communication, how to define a digital communication strategy, which are the best channels for your communication, trends, how to make a communication plan with a coordinated image and the best apps to use.
The lecturer is Sergio Pitrone – Founder and Ceo of Vertumn, a communication company, and Ceo and Co-founder of ICAST, a new digital platform for fashion casting. Sergio was selected as Forbes under 30.
Each edition we visit a new fashion reality/company, to see concretely how the industry works and the logic explained to us during the MASTERCLASSES. Entering a fashion reality excites you and enlightens you on many previously unknown dynamics, which allows you to quickly connect the contents and concepts seen together. During the past workshops we visited: Stone Island, Ratti S.p.a, Alviero Martini, Fondazione Sozzani, Lineapelle, Luisa Beccaria and many other important realities.
This edition we will have the wonderful opportunity to be hosted by LOVE THERAPY brand, dreamt up and founded by Elio Fiorucci in 2003, driven by his desire to continue the Love revolution he started in 1967 when he opened the first Fiorucci shop in Milan. Creating Love Therapy was his way of communicating Love through fashion. As the brand grew and developed, the adventure continued with Floria Fiorucci, Elio’s sister.
Love Therapy is characterised by a fun and loving mood; it does not offer complete collections, but small pieces, new T-shirts, jeans, exuberant accessories. Cheerful and fun, colourful clothing destined to last.
Love Therapy over the years has developed many collaborations with fashion, food & beverage and lifestyle brands such as: Alessandro Enriquez, OVS, Fiat, Motta, Coca Cola, Labello and Bassetti.
3. APPROACH TO WORKING IN FASHION
Since the last edition, we have added an ONLINE MASTERCLASS dedicated to APPROACHING THE WORK WORLD IN FASHION to the workshop. During this extra masterclass you will have the opportunity to take part in a lesson with Maria Cristina De Vita, HR professional who will help you understand how to successfully approach the working world.
You will be given all the tools to understand how to orient yourself in the sector, how to approach it, which channels to use, how to best structure your CV, how to deal with a selection interview and what the paths to growth in the company can be.
The masterclass will be held via Google Meet on one of the days following the “A Touch of Fashion” workshop and will be recorded so that it can also be followed remotely.

“A Touch of Fashion” workshop July 2024 will take place for all three days at Touch Studio, in via Ripamonti 137, Milan. Touch Studio, founded by Anna Paola Vergani – Fashion Career Advisor and Fabio Munis – fashion photographer, is both the headquarter of PFR – Polly’s Fitting Room and a studio dedicated to fashion productions and photo shootings.

“A TOUCH OF FASHION” WORKSHOP MILAN
IS ORGANISED BY PFR, FASHION CAREER ADVISOR
Anna Paola Vergani is the founder of PFR (onLife orientation in fashion) and founder of “A Touch of Fashion” workshops Milan and online, and “A Touch of Social” workshops.
She graduated in Economics at the Cattolica University in Milan and then attended a master’s degree in fashion business at Polimoda in Florence.
She has worked as Product Developer Leathergoods and Shoes at Givenchy Paris and Idee Partners luxury accessories, for brands such as Calvin Klein, Thierry Mugler, Escada, Byfar and others.
She also worked as sales consultant and showroom manager at Idee Brand Platform and Tora Tora showroom.
Finally, she was Digital Fashion Marketing and Communication at Sustainable Brand Platform.
