TRENDY WEAVINGS: STRAW BAGS IN THE CITY!

Hi Girls!

This week we’re going to talk about the IT BAG of this Summer 2020: the straw bag!

The inspiration comes from the iconic Jane Birkin, who loved walking around the streets of Paris in the 70s with a wicker hand bucket (even in winter).

Forget about maxi totes good only for a towel, and start considering a straw bag! They are really trendy and perfect for the city as well as for the seaside.

The straw bag of this season is the basket bag: a cross model, a bit shopper and a bit bucket. It is made of ecological material like woven straw or wicker, with no artificial dyes to be environmentally friendly.

Straw basket bags can become more functional with some well designed details, like plexiglass or leather handles, shoulder straps and pop details.
Their choice of natural material makes them perfect for a casual chic look in the city, the beach or the countryside!

There are no rules for choosing a straw bag, it’s a just a matter of feelings.

Here are some matching tips from the catwalks:

According to Hedi Slimane, straw bags mean 70s looks. Try them with flared jeans, blazers and water-drop sunglasses.
