MILANO FASHION WEEK MENSWEAR FW23-24: what’s to know?

Date

The streets of Milan are back to host the week dedicated to men’s fashion fall/winter 2023/2024. The event features 72 appointments in total, including 21 fashion shows, 31 presentations, 5 showcases, 4 digital content and 11 events.

Opening the dances today is Gucci, on which all eyes are on after the recent divorce between creative director Alessandro Michele and “parent” house Kering. In addition, the Italian label returned to the calendar after a three-year hiatus, showing at the brand’s headquarters on Via Mecenate. Also in today’s day were the shows of Family First, Billionaire to then close this evening with 1017Alyx9sm and Dsquared2

Great expectations then have for the new debut of Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, considered one of the designers of the moment, who will show on January 15. Also surprising is the presence of JW Anderson, who seems to appreciate the potential of the Lombard capital, and will show on the same day as the London brand. In addition to these, the list of debuts among the presentations includes the brands Add, Bonsai, Charles Philip, Iuster, Sestini, Tagliatore and Valstar.
Then closing the physical fashion show calendar will be Zegna on Jan. 16.

Where to follow fashion week?
The National Chamber for Italian Fashion, as every year, will offer the possibility to follow the event on milanofashionweek.cameramoda.it in digital mode. And not only that, you will in fact be able to see some fashion shows live streamed through the large Led screen positioned on Milan Cathedral and in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Using Fashion Channel it will then be possible to view the Fashion Week content in playback on YouTube. (And don’t forget that Vogue Runway will then present a short “review” for each fashion show).

Alongside the catwalks are several events scattered around the city, including the christening of the “Colmar Revolution” collection with cocktails at the Torre Branca on today (to celebrate Colmar’s 100th anniversary) and “The Added Element” on the 16th, during which The Woolmark Company & Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will unveil never-before-seen uses of Merino wool. Tomorrow at 8:30 p.m., however, the first collaboration between Marni and Carhartt WIP will be unveiled.
